AVORIAZ :
Avoriaz, at an altitude of 1650m, is a purpose built resort set in a dramatic scenery above the more traditional village of Morzine. The resort is traffic free, so in the streets, sleighs replace cars, skiers can ski right to their door, children go around in sledges, and the bars and terrace cafés soak up the sun. Of the 14 resorts of the immense domain of "Portes du Soleil", Avoriaz has the good the good fortune to occupy the central position, just a short way from Switzerland. Skiers can go from France to Switzerland for a change of culture, or to taste other gastronomic delights. Avoriaz is 650km of snow happiness!
